Yet another post in the
'Artist as Nurse' Series:
While things are getting better, I have a ways to go before operating on a normal schedule. But it helps me to know the rest of my world is still the same. I'm reassured of this when I look at the cats.
Their faces tell me they know something's different, but they're still okay. Is there wisdom in their wildness? Funny how critters can console you where no words can reach.
Warm fur can be a comfort to the soul. Too bad they can't offer some professional art direction advice as well.

I love this great painting!! Of course you know, I have a cat who comfortably sits upon my shoulder as I walk around the house (or sit at the computer) Lucky for us, she's small!

My fur collar was pretty upset with me for leaving her for a week and hasn't left my side since we got back. Yesterday she actually slept on my bed for 24 hours!

Thanks for the kind comments. It's good to be able to take my mind off of what's in front of me and connect with fellow bloggers. Seems like old times, even though I've only been blogging since March -not a year yet.

"Wisdom in their wildness" .... animals certainly are comforting in their life-goes-on-as-normal way. This painting is also very comforting and calming. I live for my early morning cuppa when the morning is fresh and I anticipate what I will be carving once I'm up and about. Love her expression :-) I get the feeling she's plotting.
