Just goes to show what repels might seem interesting years later. Does age makes us more forgiving? And art, no matter what style, is a tie that binds?
I stayed with it through the color listings.
He also was working from black gesso to light, which many artists tend to do nowadays. I followed until he got to the point of using titanium white on his go-to 2 inch house brush adding highlights.
That was enough of that for me.

Sorry don't know that show but I tend to agree 3 mins can be a very long time! Your flying pig has such a happy smile on his face. His dreams came true!

YOu know, he always cracked me up. "Let's paint a happy little tree"
but what really did it for me was the way my husband (who believes he cannot paint at all and won't try) would watch that guy week after week, mesmerized. I found that to be very sweet. And I bet there were some people (like my husband) who actually TRIED his techniques and then learned to paint.

Yup, that's the one. Sorry to hear he died young. Hate that that fact seems to be not so unusual with artists.
My father (who ran a Sports and Arts program for the town) tried a similar class with a prospective teacher. He wasn't artistic or interested in it on a personal level at all.
Can't say it differed much from the TV version.

Ok, I read the "Bob Brush" stuff, but I don't know what that means. My dad painted, my daughter is a sought after NYC artist.
I know that people can accomplish a lot. Pigs, well they, are ok.
